Compact Introduction to Data Protection and AI.
Preparation for the EU AI regulation.
Artificial intelligence (AI) applications are being used in more and more areas of the economy. In addition to a vast number of new opportunities, this still young technology also harbors risks for people's rights and freedoms. The AI Act, which came into force in August 2024, will serve as the basis for the regulation of AI systems in the EU and will supplement the General Data Protection Regulation with specific measures. For breaches of the rules by users of AI-based systems, the EU AI Regulation currently provides for fines of up to 35 million euros or 7% of a company's annual turnover. This seminar will provide you with a compact overview of the AI Act as well as the already relevant regulations in the GDPR. This will enable you to prepare for the GDPR in good time and put you in a position to identify and minimize liability risks at an early stage. The seminar ist also offered in German (Sem.-Nr. 42258): Kompakteinstieg Datenschutz und KI
